- Called into teaching whilst on holiday in Ibiza
- Teaching in North Lincolnshire, and 'dumped' with ICT 'cos you got an A-level in it, right?'
- Lead school in ICT/ Numeracy through two inspections
- Became Senior manager for Literacy, Curriculum and Assessment Development in a large primary school.
- Shifted to New Zealand in 2003, relieving in the Hawkes Bay for 18 months or so before being appointed to Westmount School to establish an Intermediate classroom from scratch- there was no building there when I started!
- Joined Peterhead School in their Y3 department and was given a Interactive Whiteboard, among other toys, as part of the Sitech Champion Schools Programme.
- Presented on IWBs, Web2.0 tools and Classroom Response Systems at ICT conferences both in New Zealand and in Australia
- Joined Breathe Technology so I could pass on my passion about Digital Literacy and play my part in supporting teachers in the trials of preparing their students for their future
