Maths sucks or maths is fun?
Reflecting on why our students have such different views of Maths. Is it simply an age thing, is it an excuse not to think, or is it simply the way we present it ? And what is Maths anyway. And Numeracy is…? Can an Interactive White Board improve the way we present. Can it make Maths fun (again). Lets look at some options and some resources you can use or make. Come with your ideas, thoughts, fears possibilities and we’ll try and change the world! We’ll use the New Curriculum as a guide, look at the resources available in your Interwrite Workspace and check out some possibilities for Excel and the WorldWideWeb. We’ll also make sure that the conversations continue after the conference and build up a community to share ideas and resources.
